We’re thrilled to share the programme for the second season of NDENCA, launching 14 October 2020. You can find the details here. We have papers on queerness and eighteenth-century satire, on ether and alternative geometries in Evelyn De Morgan’s paintings, on two-spirit native American fashion, on the material and visual dimensions of African and missionary Christianity, on William Blake’s marginalia, on the historicist chapel of the Palazzo Torlonia, on symbols of ‘Chineseness’ in the British satirical magazine Punch, on painted interpretations of the Australian landscape, and on photographic portraits of enslaved peoples in modern Iran. We’ll be on at our usual time of 5pm – see you then!
